Wilkes Men's Swimming Seventh after Session I of Diamond City Invitational
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes University men's swimming team is in seventh place out of nine teams following Session I of the Diamond City Invitational hosted by King's College at the Wyoming Valley CYC on Friday evening.
Session One Results
The evening started with the 200 Medley Relay as Wilkes placed eighth of nine A teams to earn 44 team points.
Ashton Dainty (Scranton, PA/Scranton),
Liam White (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas),
Shane Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), and
Stephen Verosko (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) finished the race in 1:49.66.
The other event contested on Friday was the 1650 Freestyle with White placing sixth of eight swimmers. White swam the race in 19:41.36 to earn the Colonels 24 points.
The Colonels are seventh of nine teams following the first two events with 68 total points. Bridgewater College is in first place with 145 points.
Wilkes returns to the pool for Session II at 9:00 a.m. Session III at 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
