WILKES-BARRE, PA – Senior Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area) finished fourth in the 200 Backstroke for the Wilkes University women's swimming team during Session IV of the Diamond City Invitational hosted by King's College at the Wyoming Valley CYC Sunday morning.

Kinard was fourth of 18 swimmers in the event with a time of 2:20.65 to earn the team 26 points. The time was just off the pace of her school record in the event which was a 2:19.49 that she set at last season's MAC Championships.

Wilkes finished tenth of 10 teams as Kinard scored 65 total points across the four sessions. Bridgewater College placed first 1,682 points and SUNY Oneonta took second with 961 points.

Kinard returns to the pool for a home dual meet against Gallaudet University on Saturday, December 3 at the Wyoming Valley CYC at 1:00 p.m.
