WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's swimming team hosted Gallaudet University at the Wyoming Valley CYC Saturday afternoon with senior Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area) taking first place in all three of her events. Gallaudet earned the team win 100-27.

Kinard opened the day with a victory in the 50 Backstroke with a time of 31.79. She then won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1:02.31. Kinard finished the day with a victory in the 100 IM over three Gallaudet swimmers with a time of 1:10.03.

Gallaudet improved to 1-6 overall with Wilkes dropping to 0-9.

Kinard and the Wilkes women's swimming team is off of competition until January 14th when the Colonels host Misericordia University at the Wyoming Valley CYC at 1:00 p.m.
