WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams are set to host Lycoming College for a pair of Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) contests Wednesday at the Marts Center. The women's game will tip at 6:00 p.m. followed by the men's contest at 8:00 p.m.

Women's Preview:
Wilkes enters the conference matchup against Lycoming in seventh place with a 4-8 record in the MAC Freedom and at 5-13 overall. The Colonels are 3-5 at home this season. Wilkes dropped the matchup in Williamsport, Pa. on January 12th by a 70-49 score.

Katelyn Kinczel (Highland Heights, OH/Mayfield) leads Wilkes and ranks 12th in the MAC Freedom with 10.8 points-per-game (ppg). She is fourth in the league with 2.4 made three pointers per-game and is fifth in the conference with a .343 three-point shooting percentage. Brianna Horton (Verona, NJ/Verona) is second on the team with 8.1 ppg and leads the Colonels with 5.4 rebounds-per-game (rpg) and 27 steals.

Julia Marino (Turnersville, NJ/Washington Township) is tied for the lead in the conference with 4.3 assists-per-game (apg) totaling 69 for the season. Erin Shober (Reading, PA/Wilson) is second on the Colonels with 4.9 rpg and is third in the MAC Freedom with 1.9 blocks-per-game (bpg) as she has totaled 32 this season. She is third on the team in scoring at 6.6 ppg.

Wilkes is seventh of nine teams in the MAC Freedom with a 52.2 scoring average and are eighth defensively allowing 64.4 ppg.

Lycoming comes in to the game in sixth place with a 5-7 record in the conference and the Warriors are 5-15 overall. Lycoming is 2-7 on the road this season.

Allison Butler leads the Warriors with 8.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

Lycoming is eighth in the MAC Freedom with 49.3 ppg and ranks fifth allowing 61.4 ppg. Kenzie Reed is sixth in the league with 1.1 bpg and Emily Zoscin is tenth with 1.9 steals-per-game (spg). Mya Wetzel leads the team with 24 made threes.

The Warriors lead the series 6-0 dating back to the 2008-2009 season.

Men's Preview:

Trent Fisher (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge), has recorded five consecutive double-double performances including a 12 point, 14 rebound game in a non-conference victory over TCNJ on Monday night. The sophomore is the MAC Freedom leader with 16.2 ppg and his 8.7 rpg rank in a tie for fourth in the league. Fisher is tied for fifth in the league with 1.6 bpg, tied for ninth with 1.3 steals-per-game and tenth with a .476 field goal percentage.
 
Drake Marshall (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) is fourth in the league in scoring at 14.7 ppg. He is also tied for ninth with 6.2 rpg. Marshall is tied for fifth in the conference with 3.6 apg and is eighth with a .486 field goal percentage.
 
Matthew Davidheiser (Reading, PA/Exeter Township) is also scoring in double figures for the Colonels at 10.2 ppg. Davidheiser leads the Colonels with 31 made three pointers and is second in the league with a .431 three-point shooting percentage while ranking ninth overall with a .481 field goal percentage.
 
Sean Coller (Hershey, PA/Hershey) (28 made threes), Cayden Merrifield (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) (23), and Nickerson DeMelfi (Newbury Park, CA/Newbury Park) (22) have also made an impact from beyond the arc for the Colonels this season.
 
Wilkes is fifth in the MAC Freedom in scoring offense at 72.3 ppg while ranking fifth in scoring defense at 71.1 ppg.

The Warriors have five players averaging in double figures for scoring led by Steven Hamilton with 12.9 ppg. Dyson Harward (12.6), Mo Terry (11.7), Matt Ilodigwe (10.6), and DeAundre Manuel (10.3) follow. Harward is second in the league with 11.4 rpg and Manuel is tied for sixth at 7.2 rpg. Hamilton is fourth with 3.7 apg and Illogdigwe is the conference leader with 2.5 made threes per-game.

Lycoming is seventh in the MAC Freedom with 70.0 ppg and is third allowing 69.4 ppg.
