MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in third place of six teams at the 2022 Glenmaura Invitational on Monday afternoon held at the Glenmaura National Golf Club.
 
Day one if the invitational was cut short due to the cold weather in the area where the teams only played the front nine holes. Day two saw the teams play all 18 holes making the final score out of 27 total holes. Wilkes finished with a team score of 496 for third place. Moravian won the team title with a score of 479 while Scranton finished second at 484. Marywood took home fourth place at 499 while Misericordia (502) and King's (535) rounded out the team scoring in fifth and sixth place.
 
Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) carded a 78 (+7) on day two for a total of 119 over the two-round event. Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) followed shooting an 81 on day two while Michael Sherrick (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area) rebounded for an 84 on day two. Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) (86) and Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Jefferson) (87) rounded out the scorers on day two.
 
The Colonels return to the course Monday, April 18 when they battle Scranton in a dual match at Stone Hedge Golf Club starting at 1:00 p.m.
