LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened its 2022 spring season with a 328-337 victory over local rival Misericordia University Saturday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
 
With the win Wilkes improved its dual match record to 4-3 on the season.
 
Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) led all Colonel scorers with a 75 on the day. Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) followed carding a 77 while Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Jefferson) finished with an 81. Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) rounded out the Wilkes finishers with a 95.
 
Ethan Zawatski took home medalist honors with a round-low and even par 72.
 
Wilkes returns to the course Monday with a home match against Marywood University starting at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Golf Club.
