TUNKHANNOCK, PA – The Wilkes University women's golf team finished in third place at a tri-match with the University of Scranton and King's College Saturday afternoon at Stone Hedge Golf Course.
 
Wilkes finished with a team score of 425 for third place while King's finished second at 376 and Scranton first at 368.
 
Sarah Sorber (Hunlock Creek, PA/Northwest Area) led all Colonel finishers carding a 92, good for fourth overall in the match. Gwen MacConnell (Great Bend, PA/Blue Ridge) followed shooting a 101 while Cassidy Taylor (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) (110) and Marissa Korea (Duryea, PA/Pittston Area) (122) rounded out the Wilkes scorers.
 
Paula Moon and Evie Williams of King's tied for medalist honors shooting a round-low 85 on the Par 71 course.
 
The Colonels return to the course next Sunday April 10^th for a dual match with cross-town rival King's College at Mill Race Golf Course starting at 12:00 p.m.
