Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes Third at King's Spring Quad Match
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in third place at a quad match hosted by King's College at the Wyoming Valley Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.
The University of Scranton took home first place with a team score of 302 followed by Misericordia University in second at 330. Wilkes captured third place with a combined score of 338 while host King's rounded out the team finishers in fourth at 338.
Michael Sherrick (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area) led all Wilkes scorers carding a 78.
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) followed shooting an 82 while
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Jefferson) also shot an 82.
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) finished with a 95.
Misericordia's Ethan Zawatski took home medalist honors carding an even 71 on the day.
Wilkes returns to the course tomorrow hosting the University of Scranton at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Golf Club.
