Jungwirth Shoots 76 as Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes Third at Home Tri-Match
LEHMAN, PA –
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) continued his fine play on the course shooting a round-low 76 (+4) as the Wilkes University men's golf team finished third in a tri-match with MAC Freedom foes King's College and Delaware Valley University on Wednesday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
Wilkes shot a combined 347 to take home third place. King's finished second with a team score of 338 while Delaware Valley claimed first place with a score of 330.
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) finished with an 84 while
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) carded a 91.
Chris Dalfarra (Warrington, PA) (96) and
Mason Vonk (West Olive, MI/Holland Christian) (99) rounded out the Colonels scorers both playing in their first action this fall.
Robby Meredith led DVU with a 78 while Tyler Faux topped King's shooting an 80 on the day.
Wilkes returns to the course next Wednesday when the Colonels face King's at the Wyoming Valley Country Club in a dual matchup.
