All Five Runners Post Season-Best Time as Wilkes Women's Cross Country Places Sixth at LVC

LEBANON, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team saw all five of its runners set their top 6k time of the season as the Colonels placed sixth of 12 teams at the LVC Last Chance Run Fast Invitational on Friday evening at a wet Union Canal Tunnel Park course.

The Colonels have been working hard in training throughout the season and are seeing the results in the competitions with steady time drops.

Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) placed 24th out of the 91 total runners with a season-best 6k time of 27:31.49.

Regan Metz (Berwick, PA/Berwick Area) followed in 27th with a time of 27:53.24. Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) was 32nd with a time of 28:14.62 and Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) ran a 28:22.29 to place 36th. Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) placed 63rd with a 31:22.76.

Division I Navy placed first overall with Stevenson University taking second as the first Division III program. Navy's Lexi Ensor paced the field with a finishing time of 23:28.98. Elizabethtown College's Bridget Kennedy was ninth overall as the top Division III finisher with a time of 24:30.03.

The Colonels are back in action next Friday for their first trip to the Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa. starting at 12:00 p.m.
