Wilkes Women's Swimming: Messiah Tri-Meet Results
GRANTHAM, PA – The Wilkes University women's swimming team competed in a tri-meet with host Messiah University and Division I Mount Saint Mary's (Md.) on Saturday afternoon. The Colonels dropped its contest to Messiah 210-28 and its exhibition to Mount Saint Mary's 210-29.

The Colonels 200 Medley Relay team of
Audrey Cornell (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights),
Mina Tutko (Easton, PA/Easton Area),
Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian), and
Kiaya Daube (Scranton, PA/Holy Cross) finished with a time of 2:13.88 to open the meet. To close the meet the 200 Freestyle Relay team of
Emma Burlew (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley), Tutko, Cornell, and Daube finished with a swim of 1:59.57.
Across the 12 individual events the Colonels competed against strong competition. Burlew finished ahead of one Messiah swimmer in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 20:55.28. She was also fifth in a field of 10 with a time of 1:01.06 in the 100 Freestyle, finishing ahead of two Mount Saint Mary's and two Messiah swimmers.
Tutko was ahead of one Messiah swimmer in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:17.27 and ahead of two Mount Saint Mary's and one Messiah swimmer as she was seventh overall in the 100 Freestyle with a finishing time of 1:04.83.
Ullerich was seventh of 10 swimmers in the 50 Freestyle and ahead of a swimmer from Messiah and Mount Saint Mary's as she finished in 27.78. She was also ahead of one Messiah swimmer in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:57.40 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:32.73.
Wilkes is now 1-2 overall on the season.
Wilkes is back in action next Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Scranton, Pa. for a dual meet with Marywood University.
