Wilkes Women's Swimming Takes Three Individual Wins, Two Relay Wins Against Marywood and King's
SCRANTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's swimming team split a tri-meet where it saw its swimmers take three individual event victories and win both relays on Saturday at host Marywood University and also with cross-town rival King's College. The Colonels defeated King's 75-26 but fell in a very tight match to Marywood 66-65.

Wilkes is now 2-3 overall following the tri-meet split.
The Colonels started the meet unchallenged in the 400 Medley Relay as the team of
Audrey Cornell (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights),
Mina Tutko (Easton, PA/Easton Area),
Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian), and
Kiaya Daube (Scranton, PA/Holy Cross) raced to a time of 5:04.64.
Ullerich won the first individual event for Wilkes as she was first of two in the 200 IM with a time of 2:31.67.
Emma Burlew (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) won the 500 Freestyle over one other swimmer with a time of 5:55.89.
Tutko took first in the field of three in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:16.88.
Wilkes closed the meet unchallenged in the 400 Freestyle Relay. The team of Burlew, Ullerich, Daube, and Cornell finished with a time of 4:30.56.
The Colonels are back in the poll next Saturday at Landmark Conference opponent Goucher College in Baltimore, Md. at 1:00 p.m. for a dual meet.
