Wilkes Men's Golf Makes it Seven Straight Wins with 333-349 Victory over Misericordia
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team made it seven straight wins as the Colonels posted a 333-349 victory over local rival Misericordia University Thursday afternoon at Irem Golf Club.
With the victory Wilkes improved its overall record to 8-1 on the fall season. The Colonels haven't suffered a dual match defeat since dropping a one-stroke match to Marywood University on September 5.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) led Wilkes with a round-low 77.
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) followed carding an 83 while
Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) finished with an 86.
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) (87) and
Brennan Reiner (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) (94) rounded out the Colonel finishers.
Brett Herman tied Jungwirth posting a team-low 77 for Misericordia.
The team returns to the course Monday, October 16 hosting Lycoming College in a dual match starting at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Golf Club.
