YORK, PA – Wilkes University women's swimming senior Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area) placed fourth in the B Final of the 100 Backstroke to conclude day three of the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center on Saturday.

Kinard earned a spot in the B Final Saturday morning in the prelims when she placed 11th overall in a field of 43 swimmers. She finished with a 1:02.49 in the 100 Backstroke that was just 0.02 seconds off of her own school record of 1:02.47.

In the night session Kinard placed fourth in the B Final which was 12 overall in the event. Her finals time was 1:03.01 to earn 15 team points.

Kinard will return to the pool tomorrow morning for the prelims of the 200 Backstroke, an event she also holds the Wilkes school record in with a time of 2:19.49 that she set last season at the MAC Championships. The event will close out her competition in the 2023 MAC championships for the Wilkes women's swimming team.
