Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes Second at Misericordia Tri-Match
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in second place in a tri-match hosted by Misericordia University along with King's College on Thursday afternoon at Irem Country Club.
The Colonels shot a team score of 347 for second place. King's won the tri-match with a team score of 329 while Misericordia finished third with a team score of 348.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) led all Colonel finishers with a score of 80.
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) followed shooting an 86 while
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) carded an 89.
Brennan Reiner (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) finished with a 92 and
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) (94) and Chris Delfarra (100) rounded out the Wilkes' finishers.
King's Tyler Faux earned medalist honors with a round-low 79. Colin Bowanko topped host Misericordia with an 80.
Wilkes returns to the course Saturday hosting Marywood University at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Golf Club.
