LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished its 2023 spring regular season schedule winning its home tri-match against Misericordia University and King's College Monday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
 
Wilkes took home first place with a team score of 342 while Misericordia finished second at 346 and King's one stroke behind in third place with a score of 347.
 
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) led all Colonel scorers with an 80 on the day, tied for medalist honors on the day. Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland)f followed carding an 86 while Sam Hopkins (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) shot an 87. Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) (89) and Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) (90) rounded out the Colonels finishers in the local tri-match.
 
Misericordia's Colin Bowanko tied Jungwirth for first place with an 80. Tyler Faux led all King's players with an 84.
 
The Colonels host the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference (Freedom) Championship this weekend with round one action beginning on Saturday at Huntsville.
