Play Suspended on Day One of MAC Freedom Men's Golf Championship
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team participated on day one of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Men's Golf Championship on Saturday with play being suspended mid-way through the round due to rain and storms.
Play will resume Sunday at 8:00 a.m. before round two will begin at 11:00 a.m. as previously scheduled.
As a team Wilkes was in seventh place with a score of 338 and only two golfers completed.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) fired in a five-over 77 sitting tied for fourth overall while
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) shot a 92.
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy),
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) and
Sam Hopkins (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) were unfinished and will resume play Sunday morning.
