Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes Third in Home Tri-Match with King's, Scranton
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in third place in a home tri-match with local rivals the University of Scranton and King's College Monday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
The Colonels posted a team score of 327. Scranton took home first place with a score of 310 while King's claimed second place with a score of 322.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) topped all Wilkes finishers carding a 78 (+6) on the par 72 course.
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) followed shooting an 81 while
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) fired in an 83.
Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) (85) and
Brennan Reiner (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) (97) rounded out the Colonel finishers.
King's Tyler Faux took home medalist honors shooting a round-low 73 (+1). Danny Harding led three Royals in the top five overall with a 74.
Wilkes is back on the course April 12 with a dual match against Scranton at Glenmaura National Golf Club starting at 1:00 p.m.
