No. 20 Stevens Upends Wilkes Men's Lacrosse in MAC Freedom Play
EDWARDSVILLE – No. 20 Stevens Institute of Technology raced out to a 12-1 lead after one quarter on way to a 25-2 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom victory over the Wilkes University men's lacrosse team Wednesday night at Schmidt Stadium.
Wilkes dropped to 2-9 overall and 0-3 in MAC Freedom play following the loss. Stevens improved to 10-2 overall and remained unbeaten at 3-0 in league games.
Dillon Kadis (McSherrystown, PA/Delone Catholic) notched the Colonels first goal to stop the 12-0 run in the first quarter scoring a man-up with five seconds remaining off a nice pass form

Tim Hartka (Phoenix, MD/Calvert Hall) scored Wilkes' second goal of the game early in the third quarter faking out a Stevens defender before depositing his shot into the back of the net.
Stevens held a 65-14 shot advantage with 41 coming on goal. The Ducks also dominated the face-off circle winning 29-of-31 attempts.
Joseph Marino (Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Regional) finished with 16 saves in the defeat for Wilkes.
Wilkes remains idle through the Easter holiday weekend returning to action Wednesday with a road matchup at Lycoming College at 7:00 p.m.
