Wilkes Women's Swimming Splits Opening Tri-Match at Marywood
SCRANTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's swimming team split a pair of matches at Marywood University on Saturday afternoon.
The Colonels bested King's College 100-34 before falling 154-58 against the host Pacers.

In the 200 yard freestyle
Grace Cobb (Athens, PA/Athens Area) finished in second place with a time of 2:19.
Meghan Sandt (Easton, PA/Easton Area) scored in the 1000 freestyle finishing third with a time of 13:28.07.
Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian) earned first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:10.46. Ullerich also took home second place in the 50 freestyle finishing at 28.87.
Lea McCormick (Northumberland, PA/Shiekellamy) grabbed third in the 100 breaststroke at 1:21.07. McCormick also had a also had a second place finish in the 100 freestyle at 1:01.25 while Cobb was right behind her in third at 1:05.42. Cobb was a second place finishers at 500 freestyle at 6:19.48. McCormick won the 200 IM at a time of 2:36.86.
The 200 freestyle medley team of Ullerich, Sandt, Cobb and McCormick won first place touching in at 1:59.16.
Wilkes is back in the water on Saturday when the Colonels travel to Moravian University for a Landmark Conference dual meet starting at 11:00 a.m.
