Wilkes Men's Swimming Begins First Landmark Conference Championships with 200 Medley Relay
BALTIMORE, MD – The Wilkes University men's swimming team began competition in its first Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday night at the Mangione Aquatic Center on the campus of Loyola University Maryland. The Colonels competed in the 200 Medley Relay.

Ashton Dainty (Scranton, PA/Scranton),
John Evans (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer),
Luke Donato (Westerly, RI/Westerly), and
Owen Lewis (Ellicott City, MD/Howard) finished in sixth place out of seven teams with a time of 1:43.58 in the 200 Medley Relay. The time was almost three seconds faster than the seed time for the four swimmers.
Wilkes is tied for sixth place after day one with 26 team points.
The Colonels return to the pool Friday morning for the preliminary rounds of the day two slate at 10:00 a.m. The Finals of those events are set for 6:00 p.m. Friday night.
