Wilkes Men's Swimming Drops Tri-Meet to King's and Cabrini
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes University men's swimming team dropped its tri-meet hosted by cross-town rival King's College and featuring Cabrini University on Saturday. Wilkes lost 85-65 to King's and 94-48 to Cabrini.

The Colonels finished the day by winning the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:35.50, just edging out Cabrini who had a time of 1:35.54.
Owen Lewis (Ellicott City, MD/Howard),
Ashton Dainty (Scranton, PA/Scranton),
Luke Donato (Westerly, RI/Westerly), and
Stephen Verosko (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) took the win.
The day started with second place in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:48.60 just off the pace of 1:48.47 by Cabrini. That race featured Verosko,
John Evans (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer), Donato, and Lewis.
The Colonels did not have any individual race winners on the day and finished the regular season with an 8-7 overall record in meets. The eight wins are a single-season program record.
Wilkes closes the season at its first Landmark Conference Swimming Championships on February 15th through the 18th at the Mangione Aquatic Center in Baltimore, Md.
