Wilkes Women's Swimming Sweeps Tri-Meet to King's and Cabrini to Close Regular Season
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes University women's swimming team closed out the regular season portion of its schedule by sweeping a tri-meet hosted by cross-town rival King's College and featuring Cabrini University on Saturday. Wilkes won for the third time this season over King's, this time by a 75-30 score, and beat Cabrini by an 87-33 score.

Wilkes improved to 7-8 overall in meets this season with the pair of wins with the seven victories this year marking the single-season program record.
Emma Burlew (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) won the 200 IM with a time of 2:31.91. She also placed first in the 500 Freestyle with a finishing time of 5:58.47.
Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian) took first place in the 50 Freestyle with a finishing time of 27.80 which beat a King's swimmer by 0.01 seconds in a field of six swimmers. She also won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:10.16.
Mina Tutko (Easton, PA/Easton Area) won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:16.65.
Wilkes started the day by being the only team to swim the 200 Medley Relay as Ullerich, Tutko, Burlew, and
Kiaya Daube (Scranton, PA/Holy Cross) finished with a time of 2:09.56.
Wilkes closes the season at its first Landmark Conference Swimming Championships on February 15th through the 18th at the Mangione Aquatic Center in Baltimore, Md.
