LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened its 2024 spring season in fine fashion posting a 352-372 victory over Misericordia University Monday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
 
Wilkes extended its dual match win streak to eight dating back to the fall standing 9-1 on the season.
 
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) fired in a team-low 84 on the day, finishing second overall. Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) followed with an 87 while Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) finished with an 89. Sam Hopkins (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) (92) and Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) (96) rounded out the Colonels finishers in the dual match victory.
 
Brett Herman earned medalist honors carding a round-low 80 for Misericordia.
 
Wilkes is back on the course Friday, April 5^th when the Colonels host King's College at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville.
