MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in second place in a tri-match hosted by the University of Scranton on Tuesday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
 
Wilkes finished with 336 team points for second place. Host Scranton took home first place shooting a combined 295 while Clarks Summit finished third with a team score of 442.
 
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) topped the Colonels carding an 82 on the day. Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) and Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) each shot an 83 while Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) finished with an 88. Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) rounded out the Wilkes finishers with a 99.
 
Dan Harding took home medalist honors shooting a round-low, two-under par 70.
 
The Colonels prep for the Landmark Conference Championships later this month by competing in the Conquer the Island Invitational on Thursday at Shawnee Golf Course, home of the conference championship tournament.
