MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in third place at a quad match hosted by Marywood University at the Glenmaura National Golf Club that included the University of Scranton and Misericordia University.
 
The Colonels shot a combined 325 at the quad match for third place. Scranton took home first place carding a team score of 304 while Marywood edged out Wilkes by one stroke finishing with a 324 team score. Misericordia rounded out the foursome in fourth place with a team score of 361.
 
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) led all Wilkes finishers shooting a team-low 76. Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) followed carding a 78 while Trevor DuBoff (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) posted an 84. Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) (87) and Trey Hilbert (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) (100) rounded out the Colonel finishers at the event.
 
Marywood's Paul Appolt earned medalist honors with a round-low 72.
 
The Colonels are back on the course tomorrow traveling to the Wyoming Valley Country Club for a tri-match with host King's College and Lycoming College starting at 1:00 p.m.
