MOOSIC, PA – Cole Jungwirth (Minneapolis, MN/Thomas Jefferson) fired in a round-low one under par 70 to tie for medalist honors as the Wilkes University men's golf team fell 294-321 to host the University of Scranton Tuesday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
 
Jungwirth tied for the lead on the day with Liam Burtis of the Royals who also shot a team-low 70. Trey Hilbert (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) finished with a career-best 74 (+3) while Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) carded a season-best 77. Teague Porter (Anchorage, AK/) (97) and Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) (97) rounded out the Wilkes scorers.
 
Scranton's Danny Harding was one of five Royals who shot in the 70's finishing with an even par 71.
 
Wilkes is right back on the course tomorrow when the Colonels face cross-town rival King's College at Wyoming Valley Country Club at 1:00 p.m.
