Wilkes Men's Golf Victorious Over King's 339-348 at Huntsville
LEHMAN – The Wilkes University men's golf team captured a nine-stroke win over cross-town rival King's College besting the Monarchs 339-348 Saturday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
Cole Jungwirth (Minneapolis, MN/Thomas Jefferson) earned medalist honors carding a round-low 78 on the day to lead the Colonels.
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) followed shooting an 83 while
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) finished with an 85. Brady Rood posted a 93 in his first round of the season while
Joseph Krieg (Newton, NJ/Newtown) (94) and
Teague Porter (Anchorage, AK/) (96) rounded out the Wilkes finishers.
JP Gilroy topped King's with a team-low 82. Michael Conflitti followed with an 87.
Wilkes is idle until next Saturday when the Colonels host Misericordia University at Huntsville at 1:00 p.m. in dual match play.
