Wilkes Women's Golf Falls to King's 356-380
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's golf team opened its 2024 fall season dropping a 356-380 match against cross-town rival King's College Saturday afternoon at Wyoming Valley Country Club.
Kyleen McCance (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area) led all scorers in the match carding a round-low 77 earning medalist honors.
Mollie Corbett (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area) followed shooting a 96 while
Lauren Koval (Swoyersville, PA/Wyoming Valley West) finished with a 101 on the par-71 course.
Isabella Lesante (Sugarloaf, Pa./Marian Catholic) (106) and
Isabella Rebar (Eynon, Pa./Valley View) (109) rounded out the Colonel finishers in their first collegiate match.
King's saw three players score 90 or less including a team-best 86 for Brighton Wallin.
Wilkes remains idle until Friday, September 27 when the Colonels host fellow Landmark member Susquehanna University for a dual match scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
