Wilkes Men's Golf Opens 2024 Fall Campaign with 340-395 Victory over Lycoming
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team opened its 2024 fall campaign in fine fashion scoring a 340-395 victory over fellow Landmark Conference foe Lycoming College Sunday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Thomas Jefferson) led all Colonel finishers with a team-low 79 on the Par 72 course.
Trey Hilbert (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) followed carding an 80 while
Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) finished with an 87.
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) (94) and
Joseph Krieg (Newton, NJ/Newtown) (95) rounded out the Wilkes participants in the dual match.
Lycoming's Will Eberz claimed medalist honors shooting a round-low 78 for the Warriors.
Wilkes plays at the University of Scranton in another dual matchup on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
