Wilkes Women's Swimming Splits with Lycoming and Juniata
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Wilkes University women's swimming team split their first tri-meet of 2025, defeating Lycoming College 78-66 but falling to Juniata College 125-66 on Saturday afternoon at the Lamade Gymnasium Natatorium.

Emma Burlew (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) was victorious for the Colonels in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:19.07. She also finished second in the 500-yard free with a time of 6:04:00.
Lea McCormick (Northumberland, PA/Shiekellamy) also picked up a victory, claiming the 100-yard free with a 1:00.5. She also finished as the runner-up in the 200-yard free at 2:13.81.
Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian) finished on the podium twice, taking second in the 200-yard IM (2:37.77) and third in the 50-yard free (28.22).
Grace Cobb (Athens, PA/Athens Area) was the other Colonel to finish in a podium position, finishing second in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 21:36.57.
The Colonels rounded out the day with a win in the 200-freestyle relay, with all four previously mentioned swimmers clocking in at 1:53.69.
Wilkes has one more dual match before the Landmark Conference Championships, as they travel to face Moravian on Friday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m.
