GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Wilkes women's cross country team traveled to Gettysburg College Saturday morning to race in their final regular season meet, the Aubrey Shenk Invitational. 

The 6k race included 33 teams and 300 runners. Wilkes finished in 28th place with a team score of 786.

Ava Bailor (Brogue, PA/Red Lion) (113) finished first for the Colonels with a season best time of 25:06.40. Annabeth Glass (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone Area) took second for the Colonels with a time of 28:15.90, a new personal best.

Julia Lewis (Hanover Township, PA/Wyoming Seminary), Ava O'Sheild, and Audrey Cornell (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) all reached new personal best times on the day. Lewis recorded a 29:35.30 (246), O'Shield finished next with a 30:33.60 (258), and rounding out for Wilkes was Audrey Cornell (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) with a 30:47.30 (260).

The Colonels travel to Drew university for their last meet of the season, the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1st at 12:00 p.m.
