Wilkes Women's Swimming and Diving Beats Moravian in First Landmark Conference Meet
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes women's swimming and diving team beat Moravian University in their first Landmark Conference and home meet of the season.

The Colonels defeated the Greyhounds 122-91. This win improves Wilkes to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference.
The team of
Izzy Sparaco (Macungie, PA/),
Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian),
Emma Burlew (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley), and
Emma Miller (Wyoming, PA/Dallas) opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley, recording a time of 2:08.55.
Wilkes dominated the freestyle event with multiple Colonels claiming four of the five top spots. Burlew finished first in the 200-yard (2:13.84), 200 IM (2:31.28) and the 500-yard (6:02.22).
Lea McCormick (Northumberland, PA/Shiekellamy) claimed the 50-yard with a time of 28.36, and Ullerich took home the 100-yard finishing with a 1:04.02.
Sparaco finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:08.18) while Miller also scored 239.40 points in the one-meter dive.
In the final event of the meet, the team of
Grace Cobb (Athens, PA/Athens Area), Miller, Sparaco, and McCormick took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 1:55.89.
The Colonels return to action on Saturday, November 8 as they travel to Maryland for a tri-meet against Stevenson University and King's College (Pa.) at 1:00p.m.
