Wilkes Women's Cross Country Finishes Eighth in Landmark Conference Championships
MADISON, N.J. – The Wilkes women's cross country team finished in eighth place of nine teams at the Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Drew University Saturday afternoon.
The six Colonel runners posted a team score of 259. Moravian finished in first with a final team score of 39, Catholic took second with a team score of 65, and Scranton rounded out the top three with a team score of 77.
Ava Bailor (Brogue, PA/Red Lion) finished first for Wilkes with a time of 25:05.53.
Annabeth Glass (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone Area) then took second for the Colonels posting a time of 28:35.09, and coming in close behind was
Julia Lewis (Hanover Township, PA/Wyoming Seminary) (29:01.03) and
Mara Adams (Mehoopany, PA/Tunkhannock Area) (30:00.25) who both recorded new personal records.
Audrey Cornell (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) and Ava O'Sheild rounded out the six runners soon after with final times of 31:12.00 and 30:41.25 respectively.
