WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes women's volleyball team concluded their 2025 campaign with a split against Drew University and Ramapo College Saturday afternoon at the Marts Center.

Following the matches, Wilkes ends with a 15-16 overall record and 2-7 in the Landmark Conference while Drew moves to 8-21 overall and 3-6 in the Landmark, and Ramapo College moves to 16-9 in the season. 

Game 1: vs. Drew University
The Colonels fell to the Rangers in three sets with scores of 25-22, 25-20, and 25-19. In set one both teams matched each other through the first 18 points, but Drew extended their lead with a three-point run, and took the set win from there.

The Rangers started set two with a 7-1 lead, but Wilkes was able to close the gap just a three-point difference. Drew pushed ahead to a set win with a 6-1 and 5-2 run.

With momentum on their side, Drew quickly took a 15-7 lead over the Colonels, and from there cruised to a final set win. 

Ally Sheridan (Hanover Township, PA/Hanover Area) was on top of the offense for Wilkes with nine kills for the match. Mia Leon (Ponce, PR/Caribbean) held down the Colonel defense with 14 digs as Emilee Atherholt (Coudersport, PA/Coudersport) controlled the net with three blocks. Rachael Anderson (Canmore, AB/West Island College) led Wilkes' passing game as she recorded 12 assists. 

Leading the Rangers' offense was Lindsey Millis with 16 kills. Alyssa Rachwal led the passing game with 14 assists, and Coco Otto recorded 11 digs in the match.

Game 2: vs. Ramapo College
Ramapo College jumped early in the first set taking an 11-6 lead. They then pulled away with a 9-4 run, and from there took set one with ease, 25-12. 

Set two opened in the Roadrunners' favor, but the Colonels stayed hot on their trail (7-6). After a 12-5 run, Ramapo had the set win in their sights (19-10), but the Colonels refused to give up. Charlize Leukus (York haven, PA/Red Land) pumped up Wilkes with a service ace, and from there the Colonels went on a monstrous 14-3 run to take set two, 25-22. 

The Roadrunners grabbed the lead in set three, and held a six-point advantage over Wilkes (20-14). The navy and gold responded with a 7-1 run of their own to tie the score at 21. Both teams then went on to match each other in score to force the set into extra points, but Wilkes triumphed in the end as Leon recorded the final two kills to win the set, 29-27.

Set four started similar to the others with Ramapo taking the lead, but the Colonels never bowed out and tied the set at 12. Wilkes flipped the score in their favor with a 7-3 run, where Leon posted 4 kills in. From there, the blue and gold took the win as the lone senior Sheridan recorded her last kill of her career and ended the set, 25-21. 

Sheridan led the Colonels' offense with 16 kills on the night, a season best for her, as well as controlling the net with three blocks. Anderson led the passing game with 38 assists, while Leukus led the defense with 20 digs as well in service aces with four.

Jasmine Rolle recorded nine kills in the match to lead the Roadrunners' offense. Katie Bishop led the passing game with 30 assists while Emma Garcia had 23 digs for Ramapo. Asya Akar was dominate at the service line for Ramapo with six service aces.
