SCRANTON, Pa. – The Wilkes University women's swimming and diving team concluded the Electric City Invite on Sunday; finishing tied for third of seven teams.

Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian) opened the action with the team's best finish of the day, placing second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:27.45. Burlew matched Ullerich in the next event, finishing second in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.53. Lea McCormick (Northumberland, PA/Shikellamy) then finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:46.04.

In the final event of the day, the team of McCormick, Grace Cobb (Athens, PA/Athens Area), Ullerich, and Burlew finished fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:58.15.

The Colonels finished the weekend-long event with 459 points, tying with SUNY Oneonta for third place. Lock Haven University won the event with 840 points, followed by host Marywood University with 799 points.

The Colonels return to the pool on Saturday, December 6^th as they head to Misericordia University for a tri-meet with the Cougars and Ramapo College at 1:00 p.m.
