Wilkes Men's Volleyball Drops Matchup Against Marymount
ARLINGTON, Va. - The Wilkes men's volleyball team dropped their Saturday matchup against Marymount in three sets.
The Saints won the three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-21.
Jackson Shafer (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) led the team in kills with eight throughout the match, followed by Aiden Hunter who also tallied eight and Aaron Ladd (Souderton, PA/Pennridge) with six. Jacob Mages (Buffalo, NY/Iroquois Central) and Josh Conley each led in blocks with three apiece, and Lucas Mages (Buffalo, NY/Iroquois Central) recorded two. Conley also led in assists with 17, with Shafer recording two and Lucas Mages (Buffalo, NY/Iroquois Central) had one. Alex Derk (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) tallied six digs along with Shafer recording five and Conley with four.
Wilkes outperformed the Saints in blocks with seven over their two. The Colonels recorded 26 kills and 82 total attacks throughout the match.
The Colonels will play their next match at home against No. 20 Misericordia on Tuesday, February 18, with the match set to begin at 7 p.m.
