BALTIMORE, MD – The Wilkes University women's swimming team ended the third day of Landmark Conference Championship competition in eighth place Saturday at the Mangione Aquatic Center at Loyola University.

Izzy Sparaco (Macungie, PA) and Lea McCormick (Northumberland, PA/Shiekellamy) opened the day's action in the 100-yard butterfly B Final, finishing in 1:03.89 and 1:06.41 respectively.

Sparaco competed in the team's only A Final of the day, finishing the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.81. In the event's B Final, Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian) finished in 1:07.08.

The Colonels finished the day in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with the team of Emma Burlew (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley), Ullerich, McCormick, and Sparaco finishing seventh with a time of 1:45.29.

The final day of competition begins Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
