WILKES-BARRE – Four student-athletes from the Wilkes University men's basketball team were selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Graduate student Joey Zvorsky (New Cumberland, PA/Cedar Cliff), senior Cayden Merrifield (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), junior Jack Argento (Hershey, PA/Hershey), and sophomore Eli Becker (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) were chosen to the team. This marks the third time Merrifield has earned the distinction, the second for Zvorsky, and the first time for both Argento and Becker.

To be chosen to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the games or must have started at least 66 percent of the games for their team.
