Wilkes Men's Golf Finishes First at King's Tri-Match
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in first place with a pair of wins at the King's College tri-match with Lycoming College on Monday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
The Colonels posted a team score of 337 on the day. King's finished in second with a score of 344 while Lycoming claimed third place with 360 points.
Teague Porter (Anchorage, AK) led five Colonels scoring in the 8-s carding a team-low 82.
Brady Noone (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area) followed shooting an 83 while
Matthew Carlson (Delmar, NY/Albany Academy) posted an 85.
Brady Rood (Bear Creek Township, PA/Holy Redeemer) (87) and
Daniel Nau (Wake Forest, NC/Heritage) (88) rounded out the Wilkes finishers.
Brendan Percey paced King's with a 79 while Lycoming's Will Eberz shot a round-low 71 for medalist honors.
The Colonels remain idle until Saturday and Sunday when they compete in the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Shawnee Golf Course.
