WILKES-BARRE – Tickets (game and parking) are now available for Thursday night's (September 4) season opening game as the Wilkes University football team hosts cross-town rival King's College in the 29^th annual Mayor's up game at 7:00 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.

The Colonels are looking to make it two straight wins against the Monarchs in the annual contest as Wilkes cruised to a 43-28 victory at King's last season to open the year. It will be a bit of revenge at home as Wilkes fell 27-23 in a thrilling game last time at Schmidt Stadium in 2023.
 
Wilkes holds a 25-13 lead in the series with King's while going 17-11 in Mayor's Cup games since the teams began playing for the cup in 1996.
