COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University women's wrestling team finished 1-3 at the 2026 Ursinus Duals hosted by Ursinus College Sunday afternoon.
 
The Colonels claimed a 25-12 victory over New England College before falling 40-1 to host Ursinus, 37-6 to Felician University and 46-1 to Division II Lock Haven University in their other matches on the day.
 
In the win against New England, Grace Riley (Wood Ridge, NJ/Paramus Catholic) claimed a 10-0 technical fall in 1:37 at 117-pounds to give the Colonels an early 5-4 lead. The advantage grew to 24-9 after the next five bouts as Abbigale Bowman (Hughesville, PA/Hughesville) added a 12-0 technical fall in 2:25 at 131-pounds before forfeit wins for Milly Hughes (Jefferson, GA/Jefferson) (138), Alyssa McIntosh (Easton, PA/Easton Area) (145) and Kimberlee Hechler (Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley) (160). Carina Rivera (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) (180) and Gabriela Vasquez (San Antonio, TX/Conerstone Christian Schools) (103) contributed one team points each in their defeats.
 
Wilkes is back on the mat Saturday when the Colonels travel back to Ursinus to compete in the Will Abel Tournament starting at 10:00 a.m.
