Miller Named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week
TOWSON, Md. - Wilkes University women's swimming and diving team first-year Emma Miller (Wyoming, PA/Dallas) was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
It's the first time she's received the honor in her collegiate career, and she becomes the first woman in program history to receive the title since Wilkes joined the Landmark Conference in 2023.
Miller competed in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive for the Colonels and won both events convincingly. She finished with an NCAA Regional qualifying score of 263.05 in the 1-meter dive, which was 46 points more than second place, and then posted a 227.85 in the 3-meter dive. She needs one more score of over 255 points in the 1-meter dive to secure a spot in the NCAA Regionals that take place after the Landmark Championships in February.Â
Overall, her performance helped Wilkes earn a tri-meet split against Lebanon Valley and Scranton over the weekend.
Miller and the Colonels are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. for a tri-meet against Landmark Conference rivals Juniata and Lycoming.
