NEWTOWN, Pa. – Wilkes Women's Ice Hockey sophomore forward Nina Hudakova (Košice, Slovakia/Hoosac Prep School) has been selected as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.

This is Hudakova's second weekly award of her career and the team's fifth this season.

Hudakova totaled four goals and two assists in the team's weekend sweep at Neumann University, including her second career hat trick in Friday's 6-0 win over the Knights.

The Slovakian international is the second player in program history to net a hat trick, netting her first against Arcadia on January 11, giving her back-to-back games with three goals or more.

Hudakova currently sits as the conference's top goalscorer, lighting the lamp 14 times through 15 games. She also sits second in the MAC in assists with 14, only behind teammate Haylee Bouchard (Sioux Lookout, ON/) with 19.

The Colonels return to action on Friday, January 23 as they face off with the Golden Wolves of Alvernia University. Puck drop on this conference clash is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
