WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University men's basketball senior Lucas Lesko (Northampton, PA/Northampton) was selected to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for his play in two massive victories for the Colonels against the University of Scranton and Moravian University, as announced by the organization Monday afternoon.

Lesko becomes the first Wilkes men's basketball player to be named to this honor since Evan Walters in 2006.

Lesko was nothing short of dominant, leading Wilkes to two home Landmark Conference victories including a 75-45 win over then-ranked Scranton, where he finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, and three assists Wednesday night. He then followed that up with a season-high 34 points and eight rebounds shooting 13-20 from the field in an 86-73 victory against the Greyhounds on Saturday.

For the week, Lesko averaged 30 points and eight rebounds while shooting a blistering 61% from the floor.

Lesko leads the Colonels averaging 17.7 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game, both top ten marks in the conference.

The Colonels return to the court on Wednesday, January 28th as they travel to face Lycoming College at 7:00 p.m.
