WILKES-BARRE – Kyleen McCance (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area) continued her dominant play on the golf course shooting a round-low 76 (+5) leading the Wilkes University women's golf team to a second place finish at the inaugural Wilkes Invitational on Monday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
 
Wilkes posted a team score of 380 on way to second place. Division II East Stroudsburg University claimed first place with a team score of 355. The University of Scranton finished third with a score of 387 while Lebanon Valley College (409) and King's College (483) rounded out fourth and fifth place at the event.
 
McCance continues to rack up the first place finishes, the fourth time this season she has taken the top spot. Leah Skudalski (Swoyersville, PA/Scranton Prep) and Madison Mendrzycki (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) followed each shooting a 101. Isabella Rebar (Eynon, Pa./Valley View) carded a 102 while Haylee Bouchard (Sioux Lookout, ON/Sioux North) (103) and Sydnee Macdonald (Olyphant, PA/Mid Valley) (105) rounded out the Colonel finishers.
 
Scranton's Alexandra Schaul came in second place overall behind McCance with a seven-over 78. East Stroudburg saw five of its six players finish with a score in the 80s.
 
Wilkes is back on the course Saturday when the Colonels face Scranton at Stone Hedge Golf Club at 12:00 p.m.
