LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Wilkes University men's swimming team competed in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships hosted by Bucknell University Friday afternoon.

The event saw programs from all three NCAA Divisions compete in the Friday preliminaries, time trials, and finals.

First, the Colonels competed in the 200 freestyle with a team of Owen Lewis (Ellicott City, MD/Howard), Tobias Misinay (Somerset, KY/Pulaski County), Maximilian Wilson (Manassas, VA/Seton), and Aston Dainty, but they were disqualified due to an early take-off. 

Lewis also competed in the 50 freestyle preliminaries and participated in the 50 breaststroke time trial, while Wilson participated in the 100 freestyle time trial. 

Lewis finished 39th in the 50 freestyle with a 22.15, just .30 seconds off the program record, but he broke his own program record by two seconds in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 28.21. Meanwhile, Wilson finished in second place in his 100 freestyle time trial heat with a 49.66, beating two swimmers from fellow Division III school Norwich University.

The Colonels return for day two of the ECAC Championships tomorrow at 10 a.m.
