Men's Swimming and Diving Breaks Two Program Records on Second Day of the ECAC Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Wilkes University men's swimming and diving team set two new program records Saturday afternoon at the ECAC Championships hosted by Bucknell University.

The first record broken was the 200 medley relay prelims. The team of Ashton Dainty (Scranton, PA/Scranton), Jacob Piotrowski (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge), Maximilian Wilson (Manassas, VA/Seton), and Owen Lewis (Ellicott City, MD/Howard) finished with a final time of 1:38.27. Following this, Lewis broke the 100 IM record with a 56.12 in the time trials, breaking the previous record by 1.67 seconds.

Other impressive times include Wilson's 54.51 in the 100 butterfly and his 22.69 in the 50 freestyle time trials.

The final two times of the day were Piotrowski's 56.18 in the 100 backstroke, and a 7:37.58 in the 800 freestyle relay from the team of Piotrowski, Max Johnson (Clarksburg, MD/Clarksburg), Leo Miller (Oak Forest, IL/Oak Forest), and Tobias Misinay (Somerset, KY/Pulaski County).

The Colonels return for the final day of the ECAC Championships tomorrow at 9 a.m.
