WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's golf team opened its 2026 spring campaign with a sweep of its home tri-match on Sunday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Country Club. Wilkes finished in first place with a team score of 407 while Misericordia University finished second at 445 and King's College third at 454.
 
The Colonels move its dual match record to 12-1 overall securing its ninth and tenth straight victory dating back to September 20.
 
Kyleen McCance (Hanover, PA/Hanover Area) earned medalist honors shooting a round-low 82 on the day including birdies on six, eleven and fifteen. Haylee Bouchard (Sioux Lookout, ON/) followed carding a 105 while Isabella Rebar (Eynon, Pa./Valley View) finished with a 109. Sydnee MacDonald and Madison Mendrzycki (Mountain Top, PA) each posted 111 while Morgan Andretta (Middleburg, PA/Midd-West) rounded out the Colonel participants with a 114.
 
Samantha Cocco topped Misericordia with a 101 while Jackie Martin was King's leader posting a 102.
 
Wilkes will compete in the Husky Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg University on Thursday, April 9^th starting at 12:00 p.m. at Frosty Valley.
