Five From Wilkes Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Named Academic All-District® By College Sports Communicators

WILKES-BARRE – Five student-athletes from the Wilkes University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

Junior Brynn Ullerich (Omaha, NE/Marian) and a sophomore trio of Grace Cobb (Athens, PA/Athens Area), Izzy Sparaco (Macungie, PA/Emmaus), and Meghan Sandt (Easton, PA/Easton Area) earned spots on the women's team, while Owen Lewis (Ellicott City, MD/Howard) was the lone Colonel on the men's team.

To be chosen to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in at least 75% percent of their team's events.

Ullerich earned her second consecutive Academic All-District® honor with a 3.82 GPA in pursuit of a marketing degree, competing in all 10 meets.

Cobb also competed in all 10 meets for the Colonels this season and earned her first Academic All-District® selection with a 3.88 GPA working towards a pharmacy degree.

Sparaco and Sandt complete the sophomore group with their maiden Academic All-District® selections as well, earning a 3.74 GPA and a 3.54 GPA while working towards degrees in nursing and neuroscience respectively.

Like Ullerich, Lewis earned his second Academic All-District® nomination in 2025-26, earning a 3.66 GPA and competing in nine of the team's 11 contests. The mechanical engineering major set new program records in the 50 breaststroke (30.22) and 100 IM (56.12) this season.
